Veterinary Associates of Acadiana

I've lived in 4 different states, Dr. Schmidt is hands down the BEST vet I've seen in my 45 years of owning pets. He was as excited about our trash panda 🐼, who found us, as I was 🤣. I even rudely interrupted him geeking out, telling him all his tricks 💎! I'd make him my Pediatrician if he took my kids insurance 😭. Considered asking if he'd be my therapist when we bring Mr. Pickles in for his checkup, also if he felt comfortable baptizing small infants and possibly cats🤞😅! I was looking at relocating and I'm torn because I seriously don't want to leave Dr. Schmidt and we saw him 1 ☝️ time 🤣! He was so informative and reassuring, and kind. It's obvious he loves animals and what he does. Took the time to explain what tests we were running and what they would tell us. The male nurse who we saw first was amazing too, and super patient with our kitty. MooMoo was from the streets, so this was so new to him, and he loved both of them! Franks and Beans don't even need a checkup and want to schedule one just because 🫠! We found our Vet 🙂.......aaaaaand hopefully our therapist/priest 🤞. No pressure 🤌. Thank you everyone that works here for being so nice and joy to deal with!

I so appreciate Dr. LeMaire and her staff for the expert care, welcoming environment and reasonable costs they provide! My cat was in the best of hands during his recent dental surgery. Communication is clear and concise, staff is friendly and efficient, Dr. LeMaire is so knowledgeable and kind. We love them😻!!

We were bringing our leopard gecko here and when he had heart failure and eye cancer the were so kind and empathetic. We have been slowly switching our cats and dog over to them because the environment is warm and caring. My elderly cat has cancer and they helped by giving information and options without telling us just put him to sleep. Informative and letting us decide what steps to take. When I called to schedule the appointment the receptionist was beyond understanding and allowed me to take my time getting it out. There are not better hands or hearts in Acadiana to care for your pets.

Dr. LeMaire and Dr. Schmidt are just the best. I have worked with them and followed them everywhere they have worked before having their own practice. Both are so kind, caring and very knowledgeable and go above and beyond for our pets. The entire staff are also super friendly and very caring and the place is always spotless and smells so good!! I would highly recommend them over any other vet in town.
